Dramatic wildlife in watercolour

Inspired by light and movement, Jake’s paintings are a reflection of the world around him. His style is bold and dramatic, and his watercolour techniques lend a light and loose quality to his colourful and passionate pieces. His enthusiasm for watercolour painting is infectious and inspired as he constantly searches for new and exciting ways to depict his subject, direct and uncluttered – with passion and energy.

Jake exhibits widely in London and the South of England and has twice been winner of his category and best in show at Marwell International Wildlife Art Society’s annual exhibition, as well as a former finalist in the Daily Mail’s ‘Not the Turner Prize’ competition. In addition to his work, Jake demonstrates and tutors all over the country, runs his own workshops and masterclasses in Dorset, and is a regular contributor for The Artist magazine.
