Port Isaac By Cicelie Fry. Mounted Original Mixed Media paining on board Image size 44 x 48cm.
Cicelie Fry; I experiment by creating an exciting background from collage papers as an under painting over which I then paint with either water colour and or liquid acrylics to form a base I then select a drawing from one of my many sketchbooks to develop images, my preferred subject is buildings clinging to the hillside as in a harbour, then more paint is added leaving the under shapes and colours to glow through until satisfactory images appear, more drawing is applied with card or pen until the picture is completed. My many sketchbooks are an important part of my art work and my sketches include places in France, Italy, South Africa and Barbados and many counties in England my favourite being Cornwall. I have exhibited at the Mall Galleries London and in many local Galleries. I am currently exhibiting in the Frame Odiham and Gallery Fifty Five in Hartley Wintney. I am also an exhibiting member of Farnham Art Society and Odiham Art Group. I have lived Odiham and Farnham for over 25 years and also spent some years in Japan, Kuwait Bahrain and Europe
