Roger Dellar ROI RI VPPS
Roger Dellar is a professional figurative artist who works in oils, pastels, mixed media, acrylics, and water based media. His interest in observing people in their environments has influenced him to record and interpret them, capturing light effects.
He regularly exhibits in galleries in the UK and has had several one-man exhibitions. National exhibitions include The Royal Water-Colour Society, at the Bankside Gallery, The New English Art Club, The Royal Institute of Oil Painters and The Royal Academy, London.
Roger regularly tutors to Art Societies working in all mediums. He holds a City & Guilds Teaching Certificate, he tutors at Dedham Hall Dedham Essex and The Watershed Studio, St Osyth, Essex.
Further strings to his bow are numerous memberships, including being elected as a member of The Chelsea Art Society in 1997 and in 2008 being elected as a full member of the ROI.
Having over a dozen accolades to his name since 1999, Roger has won the Pastel Society’s Daler Rowney Award of Excellence twice, and most recently gained 1st Prize in The Chelsea Framers Gallery Plein Air Painting Competition.
Roger has featured in WATERCOLOUR INNOVATIONS by Jackie Simmonds and is a contributor to the Artist Magazine, Artist and Illustrator Magazine.
