Every framing project tells a unique story, but this one was particularly special.
A customer approached us with a brief to create a tribute that honors her great uncle’s only child, Robert, who fought in WWII.
Robert, who lived in America, was called up to serve and tragically lost his life in the paddy fields of Leyte, Philippines. After his burial in Manila, his family received a box of items, including a photograph of him arriving in the Philippines, the American flag that lay on his coffin, the Western Union telegram notifying of his passing, and the Purple Heart awarded to him for his bravery, amongst other pieces.
Following a thorough consultation, we brought the memorabilia to our workshop. Our aim to craft a beautiful display that would preserve the treasured memories, allowing Robert’s story to live on in a dedicated wall within our customer’s home.
It was a real honor to help tell this story through our craft, and we feel very privileged for the trust placed in us.
