Quirky artwork with eccentric characters

Sam’s quirky artwork, incorporating her well-known characters – Ernest Mustard and Violet Mustard along with their eccentric pets and friends, is widely loved.

Each piece is created using Sam’s own idiomatic mixed media techniques, in faded ice cream colours and an unusual tactile and textured style. Using oil pastels, coloured inks, scraffito and the innovative fingers-and-thumbs technique, she creates bold landscapes, woodland scenes and seaside walks with a fair wind blowing.
