Maria completed a three year degree course in Graphic Design at Gloucester College of Art before working as a visualizer in an advertising agency and a freelance illustrator while raising a family.
Inspiration comes from her life-long love of her garden, nature and travel, and discovering wonderful colour combinations and patterns in the simplicity and beauty of birds and wildlife. Her painting style has evolved using vivid colouring techniques which she describes as a ‘freer’, semi abstract style.
Maria loves the vibrant colours of acrylic paints and sometimes combines them with acrylic inks and pen work on paper, board or canvas.
